The information we gather when you subscribe to and view Reid Reviews is used only for operating the site and for communicating with you. It is not, has not ever been, and will not ever be, shared with third parties for advertising or other third-party commercial purposes. Reid Reviews, by design, has no advertisers, no advertising, no commissionable sales links, etc. It is supported by subscribers only.
When you subscribe to Reid Reviews, there is a checkbox option to receive announcements about new articles or other site news directly from the site. You can choose to uncheck that box if desired and, in that case, no e-mail announcements will be sent. Your contact information is not shared with any third party. If that box is checked when you subscribe, article announcements will continue to be sent by e-mail even after your subscription has ended. You can be removed from the announcement list at any time simply by e-mailing us with that request. Many readers prefer to stay on the announcements list to monitor what is being published so that they can know when we publish a new story that is of particular interest to them.
If you e-mail us asking to be removed from the announcement list, it helps to include your user name in that communication (in case you are contacting us from a different e-mail address than we have in the system). But if you canít remember that user name, just tell us what e-mail address (or addresses) you would like removed. In the body of the e-mail, please simply indicate that you would like to unsubscribe.
We strongly recommend that you choose a Reid Reviews user name and password that are unique to our site. Using unique user names and passwords is a good safety policy for any web site account. We are able to read your user name and that allows us to assist you, if needed, when you have problems accessing the site because you have forgotten your user name. You may request your user name and request a password reset from our log-in page.
Reid Reviews is hosted by Infoquest and the subscriber section of the site is delivered via HTTPS.
Paypal handles most subscription payments for Reid Reviews. We do not automatically rebill your Reid Reviews subscription but instead leave that renewal decision up to you.
We may archive and retain email correspondence with you until such a time as we choose to delete it or you ask us to delete it. All correspondence will remain strictly private unless permission is granted otherwise. The only exception to this is relevant correspondence that needs to be shared with a payment processor (such as PayPal) in order to resolve a billing or payment issue.
